Archaeologist I
Holly was raised in Alaska in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley before moving to Washington. She graduated from Western Washington University in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, and a minor in Geology. She has worked in a variety of service jobs, and in agriculture in both Alaska and Washington. She has an interest in Geoarchaeology and since graduating and starting her professional career, she has taken an interest in shell midden analysis.

Nicholas was raised in the Stanwood area. He graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor's degree in anthropology in 2013. He has experience in both field and laboratory archaeology, and specializes in groundstone tool manufacture and residue analysis. His professional work has focused on archaeology in Washington State, but additionally, Nicholas has experience in heavy civil construction, including work as a foreman and on project bidding.

Born and raised in Lummi Nation, James is an indigenous (Coast Salish) descendant and has been working with Legacy Anthropology LLC since the beginning of May 2025. First hearing about the job he took the opportunity to learn more in depth about Native American archaeology searching for potential careers. Gaining a considerable amount of experience with fieldwork, working with shell midden and stone material remains, he hopes to continue learning.

SIQ Professional Archaeologist, Geologist-in-Training, Oregon Qualified Archaeologist
Susan is a Secretary of the Interior Qualified Professional Archaeologist, earning a dual Bachelor’s degree in Geology and Anthropology in 2013, and a Master’s in Anthropology in 2015. Since 2012 Susan has worked on over 150 archaeological projects in Washington and Oregon, specializing in shell midden analysis and geomorphology. Additionally, Susan was born and raised on Whidbey Island, and is from a mixed European and Indigenous ethnic background and approaches archaeological work from the perspective of preservation rather than discovery.

Tate, originally from Burke, Vermont, graduated from the University of Vermont in 2024 with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in Geospatial Technology. Tate has experience doing fieldwork in several states, including Oregon, Washington, Vermont, and New Hampshire. His career has focused primarily on lithics, shell midden, remote sensing, and geographic information systems.

Originally from Vancouver Washington, Em moved to Bellingham and graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology in 2024. Since graduating, Em has worked on a variety of field projects throughout Northwestern Washington gaining experience working with shell midden, culturally modified trees, stone tools, and a variety of historic sites.
